Taylor Swift: her story, success and recent popularity

The 32-year-old singer who is now well known all across the globe has shown great interest in music since a very young age, and her future success was almost certain as she began working at age 14 for RCA records as a songwriter. Her early performances caught the attention of record executive Scott Borchetta, who signed Swift to her first single “Tim McGraw”.

Later on in her career, after publishing the album “Taylor Swift”, the next one “Fearless” was nominated as album of the year by the Academy of Country Music in April 2009, and some of her other most popular albums include Red, 1989, Reputation and Lover; the singer’s fame was undeniable and lots of her songs topped the charts for a long time.

In October 2022 Swift released the album Midnights which, as she stated in an interview, were “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams”. Midnights became the most-streamed album in less than 24 hours after the release time, and its success led to Taylor Swift receiving four trophies at the MTV Europe music awards, where the star was named best artist and best pop act. The event took place in Düsseldorf, Germany, and was hosted by film director Taika Waititi and pop star Rita Ora, who were married over the summer.

Swift’s work is very appreciated and the singer herself is very satisfied and most of all incredibly grateful for her success, as she stated when she won the award: “There’s not a single moment I take that for granted. I can’t believe I get to do this as a job, and it’s all because of you. Thank you so, so much.”
