  1. Änglavakt (John Lundvik):

The song with the most votes in this week's round was very interesting. Unlike most songs in melodifestivalen, this song was very majestic and calm. This was further enforced by the lack of elaborate costumes and light shows. In this case the song truly spoke for itself and didn't need anything to distract from it.

The song will be going to the final which it definitely deserves to be. However I wonder if it is the right song to send to Eurovision later this year since it lacks winner quality and is in Swedish.

  1. Face in the Crowd (Browsing Collection):

Wow, what an energy this song has! With a classic rock genre, this song truly stood out compared to the other songs we heard on Saturday. Despite it not going through to the finals or to the semi-finals, I still believe that it deserves to be recognized as one of the better songs this week.

  1. Tror du att jag bryr mig (Niello and Lisa Ajax):

This song was catchy and has potential to become one of the songs playing on the radio during the summer on repeat. Nevertheless, it is a bit generic and lacks winning potential. Regardless, it did not go through to the finals or semi-finals which means that its time on melodifestivalen has ended. However, I have a feeling that we will all be hearing it again in our cars in early june.

  1. I want to be loved (Samira Manners):

This song started out very well, however later on only became worse and worse. The artist uses techniques to sound quirky and cursive which only makes the song generic and annoying to listen to. In the end this song is not going to the finals or semi-finals which is for the best in my opinion.

  1. Suave (Alvaro Estrella):

Alvaro Estrella comes to melodifestivalen once more to show what he has to offer. Unfortunately what he has to offer is a song that is far too similar to his song last year (Baila Baila). His song this year is catchy perhaps but not much more than that. The song will be going to the semi-finals which is not surprising considering the amount of 10-15 year olds voting for him.

  1. Bluffin (LIAMOO):

The song “Bluffin” was nothing special if I am really honest. Despite it going to finals, it sounds like any other song you would hear on the radio and definitely does not have the potential to win Eurovision! I was extremely surprised that it got voted into the finals in the first place.

  1. My Way (Tone Sekelius):

Now the last song on this list is of course “My way”. The song is extremely boring to listen to and has very low variation. Sekelius also proves to have little to no vocal range with this song as well as a severe lack of dancing skills. All in all I am shocked that this song is going to the semi-finals since it definitely left much to be desired.
