Gilded Glamour?

Best looks:

1.

Blake Lively's beautiful Versace gown is the best representation of the gilded glamor theme. The look is inspired by the Statue of Liberty, where the original color was a bronze and which changed to a turquoise color due to oxidation. This is perfectly reflected in the gown which transformed mid carpet.

2.

Billie Eilish wore a fabulous Gucci dress which was incredibly on point regarding this year’s theme. It has an essence of early 20th century fashion while still managing to look modern and current. It is a true masterpiece and it is the style which other attendees should have chosen.

3.

While not conforming to the theme this year, Kim Kardashian wore a historic dress to the annual met gala. The 4.8 million dollar dress is most well known for being worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1965 to sing happy birthday to president John F Kennedy. While Kim Kardashian was off by a few decades on the style of the look, nobody can deny the fact that this outfit is one of a kind.

Worst Looks:

1.

Gigi Hadid wore this horrendous Versace outfit to the Met gala this year. The bizarre wine red colored outfit was too futuristic and definetly does NOT follow the theme of Gilded Glamor. It is also very similar to the Moschino gown that Cardi B wore to the Met Gala in 2019. All in all, a horrible look for this year's Met Gala.

2.

Sebastian Stan wore a nauseating hot pink Valentino outfit to the Met Gala this year. All I have to say is: what was he thinking! It's not gilded or glamuor … it's rather giving Barbie and Ken gone wrong. This is yet another example of how most celebrities who attended the Met Gala this year missed the mark when it came to their outfits relating to the theme.

3.

Finally, Addison Rae takes her place at the very bottom of the list. She has been given this spot for committing the crime of being basic and irrelevant, both in her personality and with outfit. Why she is even invited to such a prestigious event is what I am still wondering. To sum it up, this outfit was bland, basic, not original and most of all had nothing to do with the Met Gala or Gilded Glamour!
