Frantic Blizzard Report

Recent events on the porch of Drotten 2 have frozen our community in shock as a mighty blizzard continues freezing students left stranded outside of the mighty glass doors of the study rooms. Progress of various investigations is frigid as trails continue going cold, even if hurried along by the cool gazes from the students’ parents and guardians. Read on as we interview a witness and multiple specialists to uncover what lies under the sleet covering the incidents. Information released to the press leads us to believe that the newest, and by far the most severe of the recent incidents, seems to have happened on the 24th of January 2022, directly outside of the doors to Drotten 2. Stuck on the wrong side of the glass doors, a group of five students was hit with a monumental blizzard, leading to complete submersion in a mix of snow and ice fragments. Two witnesses were present that avoided the chilly fate of the unlucky students - Johan Johansson and Lucina Goudasson. While the former declined an interview, we were able to talk with Lucina about her perspective on the incident. Here are a few interesting pieces from our conversation with her: Interviewer: Were you a direct witness of the event? Lucina: “No, I only arrived at the scene after the blizzard’s attack was over. I found Johan, my colleague, scrambling to attempt to dig out the students from the pile of snow they were buried in. I called the appropriate authorities and then ran up to try and help him. The pile of snow was huge - ten metres or so. The students were at the very centre of it so it was difficult to dig into it without any equipment. Thankfully, when the defrostment services arrived they were much better equipped than we were - a stream of hot water took care of the snow and we were able to rescue the students quickly.” Interviewer: What do you think should be done to prevent more cases like this? Lucina: “I think that the school faculty should acknowledge the rampant blizzard attacks and refine the schedules in order to permit students to enter the appropriate studying facilities as soon as they arrive there! It’s a shame that in our day and age we must interrupt our children’s studies for them to be defrosted and dug out of piles of snow.”

Indeed, the problem seems to stem from a mismatch of schedules or a similar miscommunication. The FBI (Frosty Bureau of Investigation)’s reports have thus far cited the reason for the incident to largely be on the fact that students are not able to access the inside of the Drotten building without a person opening it from the inside, which may often not occur due to varied reasons. Additionally, some scheduling errors have been noticed, with classes sometimes being randomly carried over to other classrooms without notice, leaving students stranded outside of the glass doors with no reason to be standing there in the first place. The FBI has even noted that some students have expressed the wish for classes not to be assigned to the Drotten classrooms, one anonymous student citing “it’s a huge pain in the ass to get there” as their reason for the distaste for that particular study location.

Overall, this event is yet another ice-cold reminder from nature about its constant presence in our everyday lives. It is becoming more evident that perhaps it is time for schedules to be adjusted according to the weather, in order to minimise the time spent between buildings and therefore decrease chances of such horrid incidents occurring again.
