Just like last week's edition of summertime on Sweden´s riviera, this week I will be writing about another crown jewel of the Swedish coast; Ystad! Here are some tips on the best places to visit in Ystad this summer:
Ystad Saltsjöbad:
Ystad Saltsjöbad is one of the best beachfront hotels in Skåne with several pools, restaurants and a beautiful spa. This is a fabulous place to stay for a beach getaway during the summer, or solely for a daytrip.
Sandhammaren:
Sandhammaren is one of Skåne’s best beaches, with fine sands and crystal clear waters. The long beach, which is located 30 minutes away from the center of Ystad, is the perfect beach for the summer. Unlike the beach in front of Ystad Saltsjöbad, Sandhammaren is surrounded by untouched nature which truly makes it unique.
Ales Stenar:
Ales Stenar is a famous megalithic monument in Ystad. According to carbon-14 dating, it is estimated that Ales stenar is around 5 500 years old. Come here for a cultural experience and breathtaking views of the ocean.
Marinan:
Marinan is a quaint restaurant in Ystad’s harbor. With delicious seafood and perfect location, it truly is one of the best restaurants in the area. Apart from being so close to the local harbor it is also situated next to a beautiful sandy beach.
