On Friday the 18th of March at 11am, the draws for the quarter finals of the most prestigious club tournament in the world of football were made. Featuring teams such as the current trophy holder Chelsea, the 13 time winner Real Madrid, and fan favorites like Bayern Munich and Liverpool, these quarter finals will definitely hold some entertaining match-ups.
Now we finally know the games to be played in the quarter finals of the champions league. First off, the underdog Benfica is against a favorite to win the trophy this season, Liverpool.
The next game will host a dominant Manchester city side versus a lackluster Atletico squad. The third game will include yet another underdog of this season’s competition, Villareal against Lewandowski’s Bayern Munich. The last quarter final game will match up last year’s Champions League winner, Chelsea against the the most successful champions league team in history, Real Madrid. These Quarter finals will surely be very interesting matches that will keep us all at the edge of our seats.
